Welcome to Vita Creativa, the blog about living a creative life. Its purpose is to remind everyone that if they look for it, they can find creativity in their everyday life. It’s my belief that artistic expression and overall well-being are inextricably linked. I want my readers to understand that creativity can be discovered anywhere and by anyone, whether it's in the kitchen, on a website, addressing an issue, or painting a masterpiece.
Creativity is fueled by knowledge and a strong sense of curiosity. I've hand-selected articles that I hope will provide valuable information, inspiration, and enjoyment to a broad audience. This isn’t going to be just another business blog. It’s not just for our clients. It's for anyone who is curious, eager to learn new things, and recognizes the importance of self-expression and self-care. We offer original content in addition to the curated pieces, and we welcome guest writers who want to contribute.
Although the internet might be unpleasant at times, it also provides a wealth of knowledge. We have a variety of possibilities for accessing the information on the web. However, we must be careful of what we consume. Our diet is more than just what we eat.
I believe that WE ARE WHAT WE CONSUME, thus we should be mindful of the choices we make.

WHY IS MUSIC INCLUDED? I included music because I wanted to explore the many facets of creativity in this newsletter, and it is a source of inspiration and joy for me. Growing up in a family of professional jazz musicians, music has always been a huge part of my life.
It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized not every family had a live jazz band on holidays.
Everyone's musical preferences are unique. I'll do my best to include a wide range of artists and genres, but I'll largely be presenting music that I enjoy and that speaks to me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It's fine if you don't. Regardless of your musical choice, my deepest goal is that you will find as much joy in music as I do.
A few words on playlists - Did you know that "playlist" originated in radio stations? The playlist contained all of the songs that would be played on that particular day.

I (heart) California - Why include it?
I am proud to have been born and raised in the city of Detroit, Michigan. Being a Detroit native is an important aspect of my identity. I lived there for the majority of my life. However, six years ago, I moved to Southern California and fell in love with it. I chose to include a section about California and everything it has to offer because many of my clients are local and because it's beauty inspires me everyday.
My husband had always wanted to live on a boat. This Detroit girl never shared that dream. However, the idea of downsizing once our children had left home really appealed to me. Three years ago, we purchased a boat with the intention of making it our permanent residence. In Ventura Harbor, we were fortunate to discover a wonderful spot to live. We are grateful for this opportunity every day and never take it for granted. Boat life isn't for everyone, but we've adjusted well and are having a great time. Because so many people have asked us what it's like to live on a boat, I've decided to share some photos to document our adventures. It's a true testament to the idea that less is more, and it also allows me to be more creative.
This series of images depicts a glimpse of the stunning Ventura sunsets from our boat. You may notice that the sunsets inspired my brand's color palette.
