Going Old School—But Teaching New Skills
(Okay, maybe not this old school…)
The learning hub for anyone who wants to build their own online presence and take control of their marketing. Hands-on, in-person learning — with online support when you need it.
Some lessons are better learned in person, guided by a teacher, NOT A BROWSER.

DIY Creative is the training side of my creative agency, DiVita Creative Group, built around a simple idea: you deserve the knowledge and confidence to decide how your online presence is handled — on your terms. That means having the skills and understanding to:
-
Do it yourself when it makes sense for your business
-
Collaborate or share the responsibility with a partner, team member, or freelancer
-
Lead the process and hire the right people with clarity, confidence, and direction
This isn’t about turning you into a tech expert or a full-time marketer.
It’s about understanding enough — in the right order — to confidently make decisions about your online presence, whether you choose to do the work yourself, share the responsibility, or hire and lead the right support.
Most of that learning happens in person, where guidance is immediate, questions get answered in real time, and ideas click faster. You’ll learn in a comfortable, low-pressure environment alongside other business owners and creatives navigating similar challenges — sharing ideas, learning together, and building confidence in the process.
(Yes, we’re going a little old school — on purpose.)
Online options are available to support and reinforce what you learn — but the heart of DIY Creative is hands-on, human learning that empowers you with clarity, confidence, and choice.
Hands-on. Human. Practical.
Learning you can actually use — and lead with — the old-school way.

What It Is
Intentional Design is a hands-on workshop series that teaches the thinking behind better design — not just how to use Canva. Instead of focusing on buttons and templates alone, this series integrates basic marketing, branding, and design principles with practical, real-world tips so you can create more effective visuals with clarity and confidence.

Who It’s For
-
Anyone new to Canva who wants to start with strong fundamentals

About Your Instructor
Real experience. Real teaching. Real-world design and marketing.
Arielle DiVita brings over 30 years of experience in design, marketing, technology, and business ownership, and the common thread throughout her career has been helping people understand how things actually work — and how to apply that knowledge in real life.
Earlier in her career, Arielle developed and delivered training programs for General Motors, teaching at global headquarters locations as well as sites across the U.S. and abroad. She later owned and operated an award-winning Computer Explorers franchise, delivering technology education classes and camps to schools and community sites. Teaching, training, and breaking complex ideas down in a way that truly makes sense have been consistent throughout her work.
Alongside her work in education, Arielle has owned and co-owned multiple businesses — including service-based and brick-and-mortar ventures. That real-world experience matters. It means she understands what it’s like to do your own marketing, manage your own website, juggle multiple responsibilities, and still want your work to look professional and intentional.
This approach isn’t about theory, trends, or perfect design. Arielle brings real-life experience in design, marketing, technology, and business ownership to support DIYers who are handling their own marketing, managing their websites, and wearing a lot of hats. She understands how overwhelming that can be, and her focus is on practical guidance that helps people feel clearer, more confident, and more capable in their work.
That perspective shapes everything she teaches — blending marketing and branding fundamentals, core design principles, and practical, real-world application. The goal isn’t to turn anyone into a professional designer or marketer, but to support DIYers with clarity, confidence, and tools that genuinely make their work easier and more effective.
